Responding to sexual assault or harassment reports

The University has developed new resources to assist staff when responding to reports of sexual assault or harassment on campus.

Staff can now access an information guide and flow chart outlining reporting procedures to help when approached by a student reporting an incident.

These guides build on the University’s commitment to provide a safe and respectful environment for students and staff and the Respect. Now. Always. campaign aims to lift the profile of support services for students.

Any reports of sexual assault or harassment should always be approached with sensitivity. Students reporting an assault may be distressed and unclear of their options so it is important that staff are aware of what support is available.

ACU Mission has central to it the dignity of the human person and the common good.  These matters are core to enacting ACU Mission and each of us has a responsibility to create and maintain a safe ACU community.

Staff are reminded that the University’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides personal support and counselling. To access the program, contact 1800 818 728 or visit the Staff Site.
