A message from the Associate Vice-Chancellor NSW/ACT, Professor Marea Nicholson:
Our Open Days are a wonderful opportunity to showcase our University to prospective students and find out if ACU is the best fit for them from the staff and students who know it best. Everyone who participated this year certainly did an outstanding job. There was an incredible buzz of activity and welcoming atmosphere seen across the North Sydney and Strathfield Campuses. The new ACU branding looked great and provided a consistent message across both campuses. We were also fortunate enough to have the weather on our side, and the result was two glorious spring days.
The Open Day at the North Sydney Campus on Saturday, 2 September was a huge success, the purple and red sea of colour and new Open Day resources created a great atmosphere across the precinct connecting buildings and encouraging movement between the venues.
The Strathfield Campus Open Day, held the following Saturday, was another success. The recently completed main entry and courtyard works provided an amazing physical space to showcase the new Open Day/branding resources creating an atmosphere of welcome and energy.
Preliminary attendance figures indicate the Sydney campuses hosted around 3,100 visitors, which is a significant increase on last year’s attendance. This is a wonderful result, and a reflection of the commitment of so many dedicated staff.
More than 300 staff and student volunteers participated in the Sydney Open Days. As always, the friendliness and expertise of our staff made prospective students and their families welcome. The success of ACU’s Open Days would not be possible without the generous support of these staff, so thank you again.
The highlights of Sydney’s Open Days are seen in the videos below:
