Taking the lead in Migration Law

The Thomas More Law School’s Graduate Diploma in Migration Law and Practice (GDMLP) will welcome its first cohort of students in the 2018 mid-year intake.

The GDMLP  is the accredited award for people wanting to work as Migration Agents in Australia, and for practising lawyers who want to specialise in this field.

ACU is one of only six institutions nationwide accredited to offer the award.

The Graduate Diploma focuses on an important area of law that aligns with the School’s emphasis on law as a service to the individual and the community.

Deputy Head, Associate Professor Catherine Renshaw, is enthusiastic about the new offering: "This course will be the leading course in the field. It will show how a program can be both cutting-edge and compassionate - another way of saying 'impact through empathy'."

The course has been developed in consultation with industry leaders and practitioners and is designed to accommodate professionals who may need to balance their study with work and other commitments.

The course will be offered online in a highly interactive format which will allow students from all over Australia, and in fact the world, to participate.
