News 24 JulyA message from Executive Dean of Health Sciences Professor Suzanne Chambers: Winter has so far been a season of future-thinking and action for the Faculty of Health Sciences.
In March, staff were advised that the University would transition from using Cabcharge vouchers to the user-friendly, transparent and cost-effective UBER for Business. This improvement has been made because Cabcharge usage was an administrative burden on the faculties and directorates.
Now that this transition is complete, please note that Cabcharge vouchers are no longer valid for use for ACU travel. A number of individual staff have been connected to UBER for Business to book rides for themselves, and nominated staff have also been set up as ‘Central Bookers’, so they can book UBER on behalf of visitors/students and staff members that travel infrequently.
A list of Central Bookers is available on the Finance Sharepoint site (under the Announcements section - link is provided below).
If there are unused Cabcharge vouchers in your possession, please destroy these, as they have now either expired or been cancelled.
Anyone can request to have Uber access as a Traveller (to book for themselves only), and approval is at the discretion of the Executive or SEG member (as per the online application).
Faculties and Directorates can nominate Central Bookers to book on behalf of visitors, students or infrequent travellers. Approval is also at the discretion of the Executive or SEG member.
