SafeZone is the University’s safety app which can immediately connect to ACU Security or with emergency services when needed via your mobile phone. From this week, SafeZone can also help track the progress of the free shuttle bus services at Brisbane campuses. Bus-tracking is also available for Strathfield campus shuttle services. If you don’t already have SafeZone on your mobile phone, you are encouraged to download the SafeZone app to access its safety features and the new bus tracker.
SafeZone users will be able to zoom in to the relevant state. At the suburb level, the bus route(s) and bus stops will automatically overlay on the map display.
Bus-tracking via SafeZone is already available for the Strathfield shuttle service.
This shuttle service travels between the 'Kiss and Ride' stand at Strathfield Square alongside Strathfield Station. The first shuttle service leaves Strathfield Station at 7:10am and the final service departs Strathfield Campus at 8:45pm. Frequency of the bus is approximately every 10 minutes from 7:10am until 2:00pm, and every 15-20 minutes from 2.00pm until 9.00pm.
For more information please visit the website.
Bus-tracking for the Brisbane campus shuttle services will be via SafeZone from 25 July.
The Toombul shuttle service departures start from 7:30am - last service leaves ACU at 5:30pm. Round trip at approximately 30min.
The Chermside shuttle service departures start from 7:20am - last service leaves ACU at 6:30pm
For more information, please visit the website.
The SafeZone app also allows you to call for emergency help or first aid or security assistance with one-touch, receive notifications if there is an incident on campus, and to check-in with Security when you are working alone. It can also help ACU Security to locate you quickly if you need emergency help. Download SafeZone.
