Vice-Chancellor Professor Greg Craven last week announced the establishment of the new Coordination Portfolio and the expansion of the Education Portfolio to include responsibility for innovation, renaming it the Education and Innovation Portfolio.
See below for details of these changes.
The Education Portfolio has been renamed the Education and Innovation Portfolio. As the leader of this portfolio, Professor Zlatko Skrbis’s title has been changed from Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) to Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education and Innovation).
The portfolio has been expanded to incorporate innovation in order to strengthen our ability to innovate and to ensure we maintain and improve our competitive edge.
Professor Skrbis and his portfolio will be responsible for driving innovation and enabling transformational change across the University.
This will involve working with portfolios across ACU and overseeing innovation programs.
As part of the changes to the portfolio some teams within the University have moved.
The new Coordination Portfolio will be led by Professor Hayden Ramsay, formerly Pro Vice-Chancellor assisting the Vice-Chancellor and President, who has been promoted to the role of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Coordination).
The portfolio has been established to help the University maintain both institutional unity and campus diversity. It will play a key role in establishing a national approach to Catholicity by coordinating Catholic intellectual life and cultural dialogue with the secular world.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Coordination) will also be responsible for overseeing changes to organisational structures to achieve organisational direction in line with the Vice-Chancellor’s priorities.
The Coordination Portfolio comprises:
