Learn about ACU disability support services

The disability support team would like to remind staff that a number of resources are available on our webpage to help you assist students who have a disability. A new five-minute presentation is available (as a video or powerpoint), which provides a summary of the disability support services at ACU.

This is a handy resource for commencing staff to familiarise themselves with disability support provision at ACU. It is also useful for existing staff who wish to refresh their knowledge of our obligations to support students with disabilities, or who have a quick question easily answered in the material covered in the presentation.

The presentation outlines relevant legislation, the university’s support obligations, Education Inclusion Plans (EIPs), reasonable adjustments in education and the roles of Disability Advisors.

The webpage can also guide you in identifying students in your class who have an EIP.

Disability Advisors are available for staff queries as usual via phone or email. Please take advantage of these resources and get in touch with the team if you have any questions. Visit the Disability Support webpage for further information.
