The Performance Review and Planning (PRP) process is an opportunity to recognise the performance of our staff and plan for the future. This process occurs each year between July and December for academic staff.
In addition to the available resources on the staff website, information sessions are being held for supervisors and staff to maximise the benefits of this process.
The PRP process gives staff and their supervisor an opportunity to reflect and discuss achievements and challenges through the year, and to set goals for the following year aligned to the university’s strategic priorities.
Preparation is key so, prior to the PRP discussion, staff are encouraged to review PRP goals agreed to with their supervisor during planning discussions, and to reflect on achievements, opportunities for the future and career planning goals. It is also a good time to discuss leave plans for the upcoming year. This year, PRP discussions may be held either face to face or virtually, in line with distancing guidelines.
Read through the Conversation Guide for Staff to help prepare for this discussion.
If you are an academic supervisor looking to prepare for the PRP process, then see our Conversation Guide for Nominated Supervisors.
PRP reviews should be completed and submitted to HR via Service Central prior to the Christmas shutdown.
Need help with the PRP process? Sign up to our virtual workshops for academic staff and supervisors by clicking on the dates below. These workshops are particularly helpful if you are new to ACU or have recently moved to a supervisory role.
