Reflecting on Ex Corde Ecclesiae

Last week, ACU celebrated the 30th anniversary of the publication of St John Paul II’s Apostolic Constitution Ex Corde Ecclesiae (From the Heart of the Church).

Ex Corde Ecclesiae is a pivotal document for ACU as the principles it emphasises guide what we do and how we do it.

The event was celebrated with a series of reflections as an email to all staff from Vice Chancellor and President, Professor Greg Craven, a Staff Bulletin article from Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Coordination), Professor Hayden Ramsay and six brief Workplace reflections in the Office of the Vice President updates group.

As Australia’s largest Catholic university, this anniversary is an opportunity for us to reflect on our character and role.
