Facility Services Officer (Strathfield) Richard Faulkner has recently celebrated 25 years of service to ACU.
Richard started work at ACU in 1995 as part of the in-house printery, which at that time served the university’s North Sydney, Strathfield and Castle Hill Campuses. ACU printed everything from newsletters to exam papers and even printed all the books of readings for the campus bookshops. Indeed, Richard’s role was an important one and continued for nearly two decades in the pre-digital age.
But as all things change and evolve, so did Richard’s role. He then became based in the IT department and used his years of printing knowledge as he worked to maintain the campus printers and stock (king of the copiers!).
After working with IT, the Facilities team was lucky enough to welcome Richard to its ranks, where he currently works as a Facilities Services Officer at the Strathfield Campus.
Everyone at Strathfield Campus can attest to Richard’s strong work ethic, and he is often seen rushing from one job to another, servicing all aspects of campus needs.
In recognition of Richard’s work, he was presented with the Facilities department’s Live Wire Award, celebrating excellence in Facilities Management and his continued dedication to ACU.
Congratulations Richard, 25 years at an organisation is a momentous achievement, and we look forward to celebrating your 30th year.
