Associate Vice-Chancellor (Queensland) Professor Jim Nyland shares some highlights from the recent virtual Engagement Australia Excellence Awards recognising world-class engagement programs and projects from universities across Australia and New Zealand:
The third decade of the 21st Century is proving to be a time of great challenge and change for universities; however, as witnessed in the recent Engagement Australia Excellence Awards, universities have risen to the challenge and responded to the change with world class engagement programs and projects. Feel free to watch the virtual Engagement Australia Excellence Awards below during your quiet time during the festive season to see all the winning teams and programs.
As the holiday season fast approaches, I hope you find time to relax, spend time with your loved ones and recharge the batteries. My thanks to everyone for their hard work and commitment this year, especially my colleagues based at the McAuley at Banyo Campus.
And as we look to the New Year in 2021, which we know will continue to be one of great challenge and great change, we also see that there is great opportunity. Nation building will proceed, and universities will need to be at the leading edge of this.
On behalf of ACU Brisbane, can I take this opportunity to wish you and your family all the very best for the festive season.
Kindest regards,
Professor Jim Nyland
