Celebrating 30 years

This year marks a milestone in ACU’s history of providing educational opportunities for students around Australia. Throughout 2020, the university celebrates its 30th anniversary. ACU opened in 1991 after the amalgamation of four Catholic tertiary institutions. These institutions had their origins in the mid-1800s, when religious orders and institutes became involved in preparing teachers for Catholic schools and, later, nurses for Catholic hospitals.

ACU now has campuses across five Australian states and an international campus in Rome. Our ninth campus is due to open in Blacktown, Western Sydney, in 2021.

30th anniversary logo

We have produced a special limited-use version of the ACU logo to celebrate the 30th anniversary year. This ‘lockup’ version can only be used on certain materials throughout 2020 that have a shelf life of no more than a year. See a guide on when and how to use the lockup.

Staff are encouraged to insert the lockup logo into their email signatures during 2020. Further details on how to update your email signature are available via the Service Central knowledgebase.
