Today we returned to working on campus and we’ve enjoyed welcoming you back. Our colleagues in Victoria will have a later return to working on campus, on 3 August, as we follow the advice of state-based health authorities as they progress.
Now is a time for us to resume the interactions and ways of working we’ve missed over recent months, and to come together to collaborate with our peers and students and innovate for the future.
As we look forward to face-to-face classes starting again in Semester 2, it’s important for us to have a visible presence to support our students on campus.
Facilitate a smooth return to working on campus by talking with your supervisor and teams about practical steps you can take to support each other and stay safe.
Think about ways of working on campus safely, and plan ahead for how you will organise and conduct meetings and other activities involving groups to avoid the use of meeting rooms and staff gatherings.
We’re planning for reduced class sizes, additional classes, and revised class activities to ensure physical distancing measures are in place. Think of ways to work differently and collaborate virtually to work on documents together and share screens.
We all have a personal responsibility to practise good hygiene and to stay at home when unwell.
ACU will continue to ensure that working and learning on campus is safe by following the recommendations of authorities. We have increased cleaning, availability of hand sanitiser, and safety signage to help you stay protected.
We’ll be practising physical distancing too, so please follow signage and maintain your distance from others where practical.
You are also encouraged to download and register for the COVIDSafe app.
Stay across the Return to Campus Plan and the Return to work FAQs for latest updates. Our FAQ pages will be regularly updated as we return to campus.
If you are considering a flexible work arrangement, check out our Flexible work FAQs or ask a question through Service Central.
Don't forget to also join the Working Remotely Workplace group.
