The Digital Workspace program is a major program of work led by the Information Technology Directorate and is designed to make it easier for ACU staff to connect, share information and collaborate with each other.
You’ve probably already seen some signs of this program with Microsoft room upgrades occurring across all campuses. If you want to learn more, head to the the IT SharePoint page.
Key to this capability is the roll-out of Microsoft Teams. Teams is a platform for new ways of working and this will mean different things for different parts of the university. We’d like to encourage you to work with us to explore those ways of working and the benefits for you, your team and for ACU. We will continue to support you with training and communication in the staff bulletin and through posts on Workplace.
Our change champions will play a key part in helping us to roll out Digital Workspace program. They are representatives from across the business who will be available to you for support and guidance in getting started.
Find the full list of 23 change champions here and get in touch to find out more about how you can support the adoption of the Digital Workspace program and Teams.
By the end of April everyone at ACU will be able to use Teams and have access to all its functionality.
This means you’ll be able to:
If you’d like to get ahead of the game, check out these great Office 365 learning pathways on the IT SharePoint site.
If you’re already using Teams – keep going! See if you can encourage others and support our change champions by sharing what you know with your peers.
Over the next month and a half, look out for more detailed communication about the roll-out, support and training.
Tabs can help you highlight key documents and sites. It also has some great functionality in forms for example – find out more.
