Sabrina wins Pitch Plus Award

The ACU Collaborate Plus team would like to announce that the winner of the ACU Pitch Plus Award in the Societal Change-Maker category is Sabrina Cole. Her winning pitch was chosen following evaluation and then voting by a panel of expert judges.

The North Sydney-based Occupational Therapy student won the award for her pitch focused on the lack of accommodation and mental health services for homeless people within cities. Her solution involved establishing urban farms run by homeless people where these members would, in return, receive accommodation and access to mental health services. The Collaborate Plus team were thrilled with the quality of the ideas to solve a societal problem submitted for this year's award.

We thank all entrants for their participation in the awards, particularly for their time in researching, practising and recording their pitch video. Furthermore, we are encouraged by the underlying positive impact communicated by the various solutions presented.

The Pitch Plus Awards is a national competition which is open to students across all ACU campuses.
