There has been an overwhelming response to the first week of this year’s Supervise for Success program. The program has been developed for supervisors to have the opportunity to engage with each other, refresh their skills, learn new techniques and stay up to date with good leadership practice.
The 2020 program finishes on 19 November, so register below for the remaining workshops. If you miss out securing a spot or can’t attend this year, the Supervise for Success program will run again in 2021.
Leave Management
An informative session focused on the supervisor’s role in managing leave at ACU. The session will cover the major leave types and provisions available, and the supervisor’s responsibility in monitoring and managing.

Flexible Work Arrangements
This session covers typical flexible work arrangements at ACU and the recent changes to policy and the application process.
People Management – Context and Conditions
This program will outline the industrial frameworks and instruments that apply at ACU which inform people management decisions. This will enable supervisors to act with an understanding of principles and risks and take actions confidently.

Mental Health Essentials
This two-day program provides the foundation from which a supervisor can identify and respond to a staff member who may be experiencing a mental health problem in an appropriate and compassionate way.
Tuesday 17 November and Wednesday 18 November 9.30am–1pm AEDT
