There has never been a more important year to get behind Movember and bring men’s health issues into focus. Join ‘Team ACU’ to help raise awareness for all the dads, brothers, sons and mates in our lives.
The Movember Foundation tackles men’s health on a global scale by targeting the most prominent health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
There are two ways you can get involved:
Visit ACU Life for more details on how you can join the virtual shave-down on Friday 30 October. If you are growing a mo, snap a photo or video of your clean shaven face at the start of the challenge and email thetrackmelb@acu.edu.au. They will share your pic on our social media channels and encourage updates throughout the month to track your progress.
The Track will also be awarding prizes throughout the month.
For more information, visit the Movember Foundation or contact thetrackmelb@acu.edu.au.
Many people struggle with the knowledge, skills and confidence to support a friend, family member or co-worker experiencing a mental health problem. It’s difficult to know how to approach someone and start a safe conversation.
The Mental Health Essentials program is designed to equip you with a recovery approach on everything you need to know to respond safely, effectively, and compassionately in a mental health emergency.
Register for our Mental Health Essentials 2-day workshop on 9 and 10 November.
