We are fast approaching mid-semester break and springtime weather, so don’t forget that if you are thinking of taking some well-earned time off, now is the time to lock it in.
With Christmas only 15 weeks away, get planning, chat to your supervisor, and book your annual leave for the summer break.
Regular breaks from work have been shown to increase a personal sense of wellbeing, and getting periods of rest and relaxation often help to boost creativity upon your return to work.
Take your annual leave and give yourself the opportunity to recharge your batteries.
Consider taking your leave flexibly. Chat to your supervisor about options to take a leave day each week to get the most out of summer, or double up on your long weekends.
If you are approaching 20 days or more of annual leave, it’s time to have a conversation with your supervisor and develop a plan to take your leave.
You have a responsibility to work with your supervisor to keep your annual leave balance at reasonable levels.
You can check your leave balances at any time in Staff Connect in your Dashboard and by clicking on Leave.
