ACU’s Autumn graduation ceremony season kicks off this week with the first ceremonies in Ballarat today (8 April) and tomorrow.
Ceremonies will continue in Canberra next week, followed by later events in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney. Visit the graduation website to access the full schedule of ceremonies.
You can watch a livestream of all ceremonies on the ACU website.
Graduation is a moment that matters to our graduates and their families. This year, we have made necessary adjustments to ensure we can offer an in-person graduation experience, in addition to our livestream option.
ACU will hold 23 in-person ceremonies across five locations this season. This requires us to comply with various state and territory COVID-19 regulations and, as such, we will be doing some things a little differently this year. There will be a greater number of smaller, faster ceremonies, and the ceremony format has been adjusted to allow for physical distancing and reduce contact points.
Insights from the 2019 graduation experience survey and 2020 user experience testing have helped inform these changes to our 2021 events.
We invite staff to celebrate the achievements of our graduates by being part of the upcoming ceremonies.
All staff with a university degree or diploma are welcome to participate in the academic procession at the mass and/or ceremonies. The Graduations Office is also looking for staff volunteers to assist with event activities on the day (eg welcoming graduates and guests and ushering).
All staff who wish to participate in, or volunteer at, the graduation masses or ceremonies must submit the Staff Registration for Graduation form in Service Central.
The following staff registration deadlines apply:
Please note that staff registration for Ballarat and Canberra is now closed.
Staff requiring ACU academic regalia for the academic procession must hire it via Service Central before the applicable closing date.
If you have any enquiries, please email the Graduations Office at graduation@acu.edu.au.
