The Learning and Teaching Centre (LTC) are offering a range of online webinars and drop-in sessions over the coming weeks to help teaching staff prepare for Semester 1. These webinars offer opportunities for activities, reflection and discussion for those who are either new to teaching at ACU, preparing units in LEO, looking to enhance their online units, or simply need a refresher.
Sessions will be run via Zoom meeting room and webinar recordings will become available after sessions are over.
How to apply the new LEO template
The new LEO template was created to enhance student experience at ACU. Learn how to roll over a unit and apply the new LEO template. This session is for LICs (lecturer-in-charge).
H5P adding interactivity into your units
Learn how to improve interactivity and reinforce the learning through creating Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) and drag-and-drop activities.
How to use Echo360
Learn how to use Echo360 to create, upload and embed videos in your LEO units.
Drop-ins
Ask a question about anything related to teaching online in LEO. Sessions are attended by LTC eLearning advisors, Learning Designers and Academic developers. There is no need to register to attend a drop-in session

Getting started in LEO
Learn how to access and navigate LEO; locate support, communicate with staff and students, navigate learning materials and facilitate learning activities.
Managing units in LEO
Learn how to create and roll-over units, manage communication, create learning materials and manage groups and grades.
How to use Zoom
Learn how to use Zoom for online teaching, including setting up, scheduling, running sessions, using polls and breakout rooms.
Drop-ins
Ask a question about anything related to teaching online in LEO. Sessions are attended by LTC eLearning advisors, Learning Designers and Academic developers. There is no need to register to attend a drop-in session

Note: If you are a sessional staff member you will not be able to register via Staff Connect. Please attend your chosen training sessions and we will update your details on Staff Connect after your attendance.
