ACU is committed to supporting all our staff through change in the workplace.
Change is constant and is part of the process of continuous improvement and/or adjustment to external factors. Change occurs within organisations every day, from the way in which tasks are undertaken, the development of strategies and new products, to the systems and processes that affect work, to changes in the regulatory environment.
To support the university to effect change in the workplace, the Framework for Leading and Managing Change at ACU is the guide, with the ACU Staff Enterprise Agreement 2017-2021 outlining the requirements for consultation and change management where the change is major and are likely to have significant effects.
Our change website is the central point of information about change occurring at ACU. You will find details about current change plans, their status and staffing impacts, and how to provide feedback or ask questions.
If you would like to provide feedback on any of the current change plans, you can do this via Change@acu.edu.au. If you are personally impacted by a change plan, you will also be advised and consulted directly.
The Framework for Leading and Managing Change at ACU supports managers to lead and manage change successfully in the workplace, by providing useful resources about roles and responsibilities of all stakeholders.
You can access relevant workshops tailored to all staff and one specific to supervisors:
For more details about the workshops and how to register, please visit the staff Learning Program Catalogue.
ACU’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) also provides confidential support to those impacted by change. You can set the focus of the sessions. To arrange a free and confidential EAP session, contact AccessEAP on 1800 818 728 to book an appointment with a qualified professional clinician.
EAP also provides a support service to supervisors. Manager support can assist with situations that involve difficulties arising from workplace change. Manager support, like counselling, is a confidential service and can also be reached by calling 1800 818 728.
