Connect2Uni is an innovative, free service offering a range of transition activities and programs designed to support first-year students to transition successfully into university life and thrive at ACU.
Starting university can be both exciting and overwhelming for many students. Connect2Uni keeps in touch with students in their first year to ensure they have the support they need.
The core objective of Connect2Uni is to create a positive transition experience for commencing students and improve student retention outcomes by:
Whether a student needs to find out about academic support, feels overwhelmed or wants to get involved, the Connect2Uni team can point students in the right direction. Students can book a one-on-one chat with a Connect2Uni advisor at a suitable time.
You may come across students for whom continuing a full study load, or simply continuing their semester, may not seem like a viable option due to personal/work commitments or change of circumstances. Connect2Uni can also provide course withdrawal advice support to any student reconsidering their study plan.
Students are encouraged to chat with Connect2Uni to explore options and support before making the final decision. If you come across any students reconsidering their study plans, you can direct them to book an appointment via the student portal.
Together, we can all help our first-year students feel a part of our welcoming and supportive ACU community.
