Staff at the Melbourne and Ballarat campuses are invited to donate goods and time to help pack ‘Bags of Love’ for Impact to support women in crisis.
Impact is a completely volunteer-run charity committed to making a difference for Victorian women and children fleeing extreme violence at home. This Christmas, Impact will be sorting and packing 2,500 ‘Bags of Love’ to give to Victorian women. At ACU, we will be assisting by packing 400 of these bags, as well as wrapping children’s gifts, for delivery to regional Victorian organisations.
To further support Impact, ACU Engagement has coordinated the Dress a Doll initiative and, as a result, we now have hundreds of dolls that need dressing in beautiful donated outfits.
This year, we will be sorting, wrapping, and packing bags on the Melbourne and Ballarat campuses, as well as dressing dolls on the Melbourne Campus. We would love your help.
To ensure we remain COVID-safe, we have scheduled several two-hour shifts at both campuses. This is a great opportunity for you and your team to be involved, and we encourage you to apply for Community Engagement Time Release (CETR) for the hours that you volunteer.
Please come and join the fun and help us bring a ‘Bag of Love’ for Christmas to Victorian women and children looking for a fresh start.
Register here for one or more of the following shifts, and don’t forget to apply for CETR:
