Our next Supervise for Success program will be held during November and supervisors are encouraged to enroll now, as places are limited.
This program focuses on your role as a leader to support, engage and motivate your team. Learn new techniques in coaching, difficult conversations, interviewing skills and developing your talent. Each of these learning programs is facilitated by subject matter experts and aligned with the ACU Capability and Development Framework.

This program will examine work, health and safety in the ACU context, what your role is in supporting a safety culture, and what supports are available to help you in managing the safety and wellbeing of your team.
Safety in Practice - Tuesday 9 November 1.30-3.30pm (AEDT)
Develop a coaching mindset and practice a structured process to accelerate development by bringing out the best in others. Coaching support is offered post-course.
Coaching Essentials: Thursday 11 November 9.30am-5pm (AEDT)
With two sessions to choose from, learn how to conduct interviews that are objective, fair, and provide the candidate the opportunity to shine. Learn how to build rapport, manage an interview, and ask pertinent questions to gather data, indicative of future on-the-job success.
The Art of Behavioural Interviewing: Monday 15 November Session 1 - 9am-12.30pm (AEDT)
The Art of Behavioural Interviewing: Monday 15 November Session 2 - 1.30-5pm (AEDT)
Supervisors are responsible for creating and maintaining a psychologically safe workplace. This two half-day program has been specifically created to equip supervisors with the necessary tools and skills to be able to respond to different scenarios impacting staff wellbeing in the workplace in a compassionate and fitting way.
Mental Health Masterclass: Tuesday 16 and Thursday 18 November 10am-1.30pm (AEDT)
The program covers the typical types of Flexible Work Arrangements at ACU, outlining who can make a request, how a staff member can submit a request, how supervisors need to consider the request, and a framework for decision-making.
Flexible Work Arrangements: Tuesday 23 November 2-3.30pm (AEDT)
This program will explore approaches to appointments and measure a successful appointment.
Rethinking Recruitment and Appointment Success: Thursday 25 November 10am-12pm (AEDT)
This program focuses on how to have effective conversations when identifying and building individual capabilities with your team. It will include how to identify and prioritise capabilities to focus on, coaching questions to use during the conversation, identifying and maximising learning opportunities, and techniques to drive a self-directed learning mindset for individuals in your team.
