Declutter to help others

Looking for something productive to do in lockdown? Overdue for a declutter? Consider giving your wardrobe a spring clean and in doing so help those in our communities who are experiencing disadvantage.

ACU Engagement and Campus Ministry invite you to help empower those doing it tough to achieve economic independence by donating good-quality work-appropriate clothing and accessories to our Threads of Change campaign.

Each ACU campus has partnered with local community organisations which provide a network of support, professional attire and development tools to help people thrive in work and life. These organisations will ensure that your donations directly meet the needs of our local communities.

Threads of Change will officially run from 6–24 September for campuses which are open. Staff on campuses currently experiencing lockdowns can begin gathering these items now, and donation points will open for two weeks when you can safely return to campus. We will keep you posted, but in the meantime, happy decluttering!

Find out more about this initiative and campus-specific information including preferred items, donation periods and donation points.
