Aquero Lecture: The life-long journey of ageing

The Faculty of Health Sciences will be holding the second lecture in its Aquero Lecture Series on Thursday 8 September from 11.30am–12.30pm.

The Aquero Lecture Series honours the Catholic intellectual tradition by inspiring progressive dialogue towards principled leadership in a global health paradigm that is constantly changing.

Join Vice-Chancellor Professor Zlatko Skrbis, ACU’s recently appointed Professor of Healthy Ageing Laurie Buys and State Head of School, Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine (NSW/ACT) Associate Professor Cathy Dickson as they set the context for a panel discussion that will explore the life-long journey of ageing.

Panellists Kathryn Greiner, Dr Fiona Kerr and Greg Vickery are from a diverse range of backgrounds and will explore questions such as:

  • Can we convert wealth into wellbeing?
  • How important is age diversity in workplaces and communities?
  • How can we work longer but with more flexibility?
