ACU Careers and Employability is excited to announce the launch of a holistic veteran support program to enhance both the wellbeing and employability of ACU student veterans.
The Student Veteran Employability program is a pilot project funded by the Department of Veteran Affairs to support the transition of ACU student veterans to the civilian workforce. The program is jointly facilitated by ACU Careers and Employability and Veterans Centre Australia.
To kickstart the program, a two-part Career Bootcamp is being launched at the Brisbane campus. The bootcamp will empower student veterans to make informed decisions as they navigate the next stage of their career.
Participants in the bootcamps will engage in self-reflection activities, research career opportunities and consider decision-making strategies.
The first series of bootcamps will be offered at the Brisbane campus in September and October 2022. The program will roll out to other campuses at a later date.
