ADCET Assist for academic and disability support staff

The Disability Service is excited to announce that ADCET Assist is returning in 2022.

Facilitated by the Australian Disability Clearinghouse on Education and Training (ADCET), ADCET Assist is available on Mondays and Thursdays during February and March. This service offers one-on-one or small group online sessions to assist academic and disability support staff in the tertiary sector with questions about universal design for learning (UDL), accessibility, teaching and assistive technology.

No query is too small or too complex.

Some of the queries raised in late 2021 included:

  • individual student assistive technology options
  • accessible mathematics online
  • augmented/virtual reality
  • creating accessible emails
  • accessible eLearning projects
  • inclusive teaching and training
  • video captioning and subtitling
  • developing accessible eLearning resources.
