GIVE Talk with Dr Karl

Join Dr Karl on 22 February for the first AGILE Global Impact of Value and Excellence (GIVE) Talk for 2022.

AGILE is an innovative student success program for high-ATAR students that aims to elevate their performance while at ACU. GIVE Talks are a new series of guest lectures and are exclusive to ACU staff and AGILE members. The talks will celebrate excellence in leadership that makes a positive impact on local and global communities. There will be nine GIVE talks throughout the year.

Join us to hear about Dr Karl’s professional journey, why he left a career as a clinician in favour of one in science communication, and how we can all make a difference.

Dr Karl is known for his work on radio and television, including the Great Moments in Science® radio segment, and his books celebrating the breadth of science. He is a Member of the Order of Australia and received the United Nations UNESCO Kalinga Prize for the Popularisation of Science at the World Science Forum, as well as the Ig Nobel prize for his ground-breaking research into ‘Belly Button Lint and why it is almost always blue’.
