Engaging students using Leganto

The Centre for Education and Innovation offers a broad range of professional learning opportunities on a variety of topics to assist in online teaching.

Creating and using Leganto resources to engage students in scholarship

When: Friday 15 July, 12pm - 1pm
Delivery: In-person at North Sydney Library Room 502.1.26 or via Zoom
Who should attend: NLICs and LICs
Facilitators: Associate Professor Alison Owens, Susan Brooman-Jones, Annelisa Sipos, Lisa Gielis.
Note: This is an active learning session and participants need to be at a computer and online. To create or edit a Leganto list during the session, participants need an active LEO site in preparation for their next teaching session.

Focus on the range of resources that can be included in a Leganto list and guide you in developing a quality list for your unit. We demonstrate approaches to incorporating these resources in learning activities and tasks to encourage student engagement with the scholarship you have provided for them.

After completing this session, you will be able to:

  • construct a relevant list of diverse resources using Leganto
  • organise and align the list to teaching and learning activities and tasks
  • collaborate with colleagues to edit and manage a list
  • ensure copyright compliance
  • roll over a list to use in other LEO units
  • view student downloads to monitor engagement and inform updates to your list
