The Student Veteran Impact Awards recognise the positive impact ACU student veterans make on the community during their time at ACU.
The awards represent ACU's core values of service and the common good. Throughout their study at ACU, students are encouraged to acknowledge their responsibility to the common good, the environment and society.
In line with ACU's mission, identity and values, the Student Veteran Impact Awards celebrate the efforts of student veterans who significantly contribute to the university and the wider community.
Sir Peter Cosgrove Student Veterans Award – Graduating students
The Sir Peter Cosgrove Student Veterans Award was established in honour of Sir Peter Cosgrove, a former soldier, Governor-General, and Chancellor of ACU who has provided many years of exemplary service to the society and veteran community. He is a passionate supporter of current and past veterans and is renowned for his leadership, compassion, and determination. Sir Peter has inspired several generations of veterans in Australia. In appreciation of a spirit of service, this award is the most prestigious recognition of exemplary and impactful contributions of graduating students to the ACU and wider community.

The Student Veteran Impact Award recognises significant and impactful contributions of continuing students to the ACU and wider community.
Nominate a student veteran for the ACU Student Veteran Impact Awards
Student veterans are encouraged to 'self-nominate' for any of the three award categories, though students can be nominated by staff and peers. We would like to encourage you to nominate student veterans who you believe meet the award criteria to recognise their efforts whilst studying at ACU.
Nominations close Sunday 7 Aug 2022.
