The development of a new internal student communications policy and procedures was an initiative stemming from the 2020/2021 Student Content and Communications project, which aimed to prioritise and optimise the student experience, and to improve the quality and consistency of information ACU shares with current students.
The research and co-design phases of the Student Content and Communications project yielded several key recommendations for a future-state content and communications model.
The two key project recommendations have now been implemented. They are:
The policy and procedures were developed following wide consultation and feedback from key stakeholder groups from across the university, as well as members of the Vice-Chancellor’s Executive Board and student association leaders.
The policy and procedures apply to all university-wide, large cohort and/or segmented audience communications between the university and its current students — that is, all students from the point of enrolment through to graduation. The procedures will be updated over time as new processes and systems are implemented.
You can view the ACU Internal Student Communications Policy and the ACU Internal Student Communications Procedures on the staff website.
If you have any questions please contact the Student Communications Coordinator, Caitlin McAtomney.
