Volunteering for education

Clemente is ACU’s flagship educational program for those facing disadvantage. Offered in partnership with organisations such as Mission Australia and St Vincent De Paul, it provides people local to each campus with free and supported study in the humanities. In Ballarat, ACU works alongside CatholicCare, Federation University, the City of Ballarat and the Ballarat Foundation.

A key part of the program are volunteers who act as learning partners. They support students in their study, helping them to see that they have never lost the ability to learn and grow intellectually.

On Tuesday 7 June, ABC Radio Ballarat interviewed Dr Liam Davison who has volunteered with the program for a number of years.
