Attend an introductory and/or advanced EndNote skills workshop in Semester 1 to learn how to better manage, search, and share references for your research.

Introduction to EndNote 20

Introduction to EndNote 20 training is recommended for researchers and postgraduate students. During this class you will learn how to:

  • set up a library in EndNote 20
  • export references from a library database
  • find full text and attach PDF files
  • search, sort and group references
  • choose a referencing style to use with EndNote
  • use EndNote with Microsoft Word to insert citations and create a bibliography.

Dates and times

The following sessions are scheduled for Semester 1:

  • Thursday 17 March, 2pm - 3.30pm (AEDT)/1-2.30pm (AEST)
  • Tuesday 26 April, 10am -11.30am
  • Monday 23 May, 11am - 2.30pm
  • Tuesday 28 June, 1pm - 2.30pm
  • Thursday 14 July, 2pm - 3.30pm

Advanced EndNote 20 for ACU staff and researchers

Advanced EndNote 20 is designed for those who want to learn some of the advanced features of EndNote, to save time and avoid common problems. Participants should already have a reasonable working knowledge of EndNote software.

This workshop will cover:

  • using advanced functions to manage literature or systematic reviews
  • syncing and sharing EndNote libraries and groups
  • adding your own labels and research notes to references in EndNote
  • downloading and modifying an EndNote output style
  • journal title abbreviations using terms lists
  • working with long documents (such as a thesis or book) and unformatted citations.

  • Wednesday 1 June 10am - 11.30am
