Join a training session on privacy

Every day in your role you are likely touching personal information, sometimes without even realising.

You may deal with student records, administer their learning, assess their progress, or take action to support them based on insight or direct knowledge. You probably use technology to do these things and more, which means giving names, email addresses and student numbers to vendors and partners.

Sure, you provide students with synchronous learning and staff with tools to engage or assess, but do you understand the privacy impact on every individual whose personal information you handle? Do you know who can help you assess that impact? Do you even know what privacy really is? Do you know how to deal with a breach if something goes wrong? And what about the GDPR, the strict European law you’ve heard about – does it affect ACU?

ACU’s privacy coordinator is running two professional learning sessions and you’re invited.

What is Privacy?
