Remembrance Day

It is now 104 years since armistice was called at 11.00am on the eleventh day of the eleventh month, 1918 when the guns fell silent and World War I came to an end. It was the hour for peace.

The eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month holds special significance as a moment to remember those who died not only in that long four-year battle, but in every war. We come together as a nation, in silence and in prayer, to remember them.

You are invited to join ACU Campus Ministry at a commemorative service next Friday to reflect and remember those brave women and men who gave their lives serving and protecting our nation.

Please gather by the flagpole at your campus (excluding Blacktown and Strathfield campuses) at 10.45am for the service.

Let us all join as one ACU community this Remembrance Day to commemorate our fallen soldiers and express our aspirations for peace.

Lest we forget.
