Legacy password reset tool to be decommissioned

With the introduction of two MFA methods in July 2023, all staff can now reset their own password using Microsoft self-service password reset.

Simply click ‘Forgot my password’ on the Microsoft login page and follow the prompts.

You can find full instructions on resetting your password on Service Central.

This new service replaces the legacy Self-Service Password Reset Manager tool, which will be decommissioned and removed from staff and student computers from Friday 8 December.

What does this mean for you?

You will no longer use the Self-Service Password Reset Manager tool on your computer to reset your password.

If you have registered two MFA methods, you’ll be able to use Microsoft to reset your own ACU password using a web browser.

If you haven’t yet registered two MFA methods, you’ll need to do so before you can reset your own password, or you can call Service Central to reset your password.

Resetting your password using Microsoft will also change your ACU staff computer password.
