International students commencing their studies at our Melbourne and Ballarat campuses from Semester 1 2023 will access Gateway to ACU as they transition to living and studying in Australia.
Funded through the Victorian Government’s Study Melbourne International Education Resilience Fund, the program provides international students with useful guidance and information as they arrive in Australia and prepare to study at our Melbourne and Ballarat campuses.
The program's five modules cover a wide range of topics international students typically navigate through in their first weeks and months in the country, including:
Module 1 of Gateway to ACU, ‘Getting ready for Australia’, is available via the ACU website.
Modules 2–5 are available exclusively to enrolled international students and ACU staff via LEO.
The full program was launched to ACU’s international agent network at a hybrid event held online via Zoom and in-person at the Study Melbourne Hub in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on Wednesday 11 January.
The launch comes after 12 months of development and a pilot in July 2022. Staff and students from across the university contributed to the project through filming, voiceovers, reviews, and the provision of vital information which now features in the program.
