As students return to campus for Semester 2, ACU will celebrate NAIDOC Week 14-18 August with a range of fun and enriching activities. See what's on and how to participate.

ACU is celebrating NAIDOC (National Aboriginal and Islanders Day Observance Committee) Week between 14-18 August 2023.

Everyone is welcome to join the fun activities on your campus.

Brisbane Campus
  • Performance by Sachem - poetry and storytelling

    Monday 14 August, 11am – 12.30pm
    Location: Café deck

  • Welcome to Country and dance with Aunty Maroochy Barambah

    Tuesday 15 August, 10am
    Location: Weemala gardens

  • Weaving with Janali Griffiths, CEO and co-founder of Gamilaraay Gulay

    Tuesday 15 August, 11am – 1pm
    Location: Courtyard area

Melbourne Campus
  • 10am - Welcome to Country Wurundjeri
  • 10.30am - ACU community 'Floral Friday' morning tea, celebrating Torres Strait Islander culture. Light refreshments with bush tucker inspired catering and hot beverages included
  • 'Floral Friday' dress-up competition - staff and students are encouraged to wear your best 'florals’.

Ballarat Campus
