ALLY Network training sessions are an opportunity for you to learn about LGBTIQ+ issues and ways that you can contribute to providing an affirming environment for LGBTIQ+ students and staff. Join the ACU ALLY Network and register to attend upcoming virtual training sessions.
The Ally Network at ACU is a visible network of staff who support the university’s pastoral commitment to providing a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for students and staff who identify as being lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex or queer, or as having any other sexuality or gender diverse identity (LGBTIQ+).
The training sessions are an opportunity for you to learn about LGBTIQ+ issues and ways that you can contribute to providing an affirming environment for LGBTIQ+ students and staff.
The ACU ALLY Network has scheduled three virtual training sessions in the second half of the year:
- Monday 4 September, 10.00am–1.00pm AEST
- Tuesday 10 October, 10.00am–1.00pm AEDT (9am–12pm Brisbane)
- Thursday 9 November, 10.00am–1.00pm AEDT (9am–12pm Brisbane)
If you are interested in joining the ACU ALLY Network and/or attending a training session, please submit an expression of interest. If you can’t attend the scheduled training sessions, you’re still welcome to submit an expression of interest so we can notify you about upcoming events and future training opportunities.
