This session is geared towards academics who are keen on exploring innovative ideas, collaborating with peers, and leveraging the latest technologies for research or to pursue grant opportunities. This session provides with a unique opportunity to gain a practical understanding of virtual, augmented and mixed reality technologies, and to learn about the varied exciting and potential applications these cutting-edge technologies can play in your industry.
For those interested in pursuing this research partnership further, Professor Myriam Amielh’s Innovation and Industry Engagement team will also be available to discuss support with grant writing.

As founder and CEO of The Mobile Apps Man, an innovative and results-driven software development company, Kirk is an innovator in holographic computing and virtual reality technologies. The Mobile Apps Man specialises in holographic/mixed reality computing (MR), along with Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and mobile app development services.
Working in collaboration with Western Sydney University, The Mobile Apps Man are the developers of ForensicXR, a holographic application designed to help train and assess crime scene investigators.
With a longstanding passion for technology and innovation, Kirk also works as a consultant to various corporations and government agencies when he isn't lecturing sessionally with the Faculty of Law and Business at ACU.
