Join the Education and Innovation PLC

CEI and the Higher Education Learning and Teaching Academy (HELTA) have launched an Education and Innovation Professional Learning Community (PLC) for staff to attend to share their valuable insight and feedback.

The community expands upon the successful campus-based PLC initiative created by the Faculty of Health Sciences. By including representatives from all ACU faculties and Global Education Pathways (GEP), we foster the expansion of the initiative, enabling a diverse range of ideas to be shared regarding factors affecting learning and teaching practices, student engagement and internal and external matters of interest.

The topic of interest for the upcoming meeting is Artificial Intelligence in higher education: Uses, benefits and ethics. Please find meeting dates for each campus listed below:

• Ballarat: Tuesday 30 May, 1.30pm–3.30pm
• Blacktown: Tuesday 30 May, 1.30pm–3.30pm
• Brisbane: Monday 29 May, 11.00am–12.30pm
• Canberra: Wednesday 7 June, 10.30am–11.30am
• Melbourne: Thursday 1 June, 10.30am–12.30pm
• North Sydney: Tuesday 30 May, 10.00am–12.00pm
• Strathfield: Tuesday 30 May, 1.30pm–3.00pm

Note: Blacktown and Strathfield meetings will be combined via Microsoft Teams.

This is a fantastic opportunity to generate innovative ideas to bring effective change to ACU learning and teaching practices. The outcomes of each meeting will be collated and taken to both the University Learning and Teaching Committees and HELTA.
