Save your Turnitin QuickMarks now

Turnitin QuickMarks will not be available to use in Canvas. Alternatively, import QuickMarks into Annotate Pro to continue using comments when grading assignments in 2024.

Turnitin QuickMarks are frequently used comments that can be used to provide consistent, targeted feedback to students. In 2024, Turnitin QuickMarks will no longer be available, and feedback will be provided through Canvas SpeedGrader feedback tools.

Annotate Pro is a browser extension in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge that stores libraries of comments, such as the ACU Academic Skills Unit QuickMarks library. It allows academics to create and share libraries to provide student feedback.

To prepare for this change, export your favourite QuickMark sets now and import them to Annotate Pro so you can use them for grading. Please note you will need to download your QuickMarks set/s while you still have access to LEO before 31 December.

For instructions on downloading your QuickMark set/s, please visit LEO Guides: How to export Turnitin QuickMarks.

The Canvas “help” button will include support resources to learn more about Annotate Pro when preparing and teaching your Canvas units in 2024.

If you have any questions, please email CEI@acu.edu.au.
