The recent Australian Universities Accord Report said improving access and equity was a matter of urgency.
“Tackling this participation problem will require all institutions to actively support students from all backgrounds to enrol and succeed. Every part of the higher education system must set out to achieve greater equity.” August 2023
At ACU, equity is everyone’s business. Equity, inclusion and social justice are at the core of our mission and who we are. The online Equity @ ACU Symposium offers a unique opportunity to engage with leaders and experts from across the sector and within ACU. It will provide a platform to share expertise, examine issues of (in)equity, and collaboratively explore innovative approaches to widening participation in higher education. Together, we can enhance our impact, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to access and succeed in higher education.
ACU Provost Professor Julie Cogin will provide the official welcome and opening remarks to the online Equity @ ACU Symposium on Wednesday 9 October.
