In the Stakeholder Engaged Scholarship Unit (SESU), we help organisations grow their research capacity by undertaking research projects proposed by organisations working to support people experiencing disadvantage or marginalisation.
All staff are encouraged to share news of the SESU’s call for expressions of interest with organisations in their networks. All Australian organisations that have a majority of their trade dedicated to the social good, whether faith-based or secular, are welcome to apply to the SESU for the research that’s meaningful to them.
Applications are open now until 12 March 2024.
Successful organisations will work closely with ACU academic researchers to undertake the projects. To give academic staff the opportunity to participate in the successful projects, the SESU will open an application round at a later time, where researchers can apply to join the successful projects.
Organisations can apply for two types of projects:
Organisation-specific projects
A proposal for research specific to their organisation to inform, shape, evaluate or grow their organisation’s programs or services.
Sector projects
A proposal for a multi-partner research project to address a systemic or ‘big’ issue which affects several organisations in the community sector.
The SESU’s Advisory Group will shortlist applications after EOIs close.
Visit the website for more information about the application round or contact SESU staff at sesu@acu.edu.au.
