Public Health and Chronic Disease Program – Improving Health Outcomes for Priority Populations of Women and Girls

The Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care has announced the Public Health and Chronic Disease Program to improve health outcomes for women and girls in Australia and reduce health inequities across priority populations. Applications close on Friday 16 February.

Applications for post-doctoral grants worth $365,000 over two years for STEM and HASS topics close on Friday 16 February. Collaboration with Australian start-up companies is strongly encouraged.

The TCRF program supports Queensland Health clinicians – medical, nursing, dental, allied health professionals and clinical scientists – to undertake research linked to their practice. Applications close on Monday 19 February.

Physiotherapy Research Foundation Seeding Grants

Seeding grants help early career researchers working in any area of physiotherapy. Applicants must submit an EOI followed by a full application (if shortlisted). Grants are up to $12,000 in value. Applications close on Sunday 3 March.

Centre for Australia India Relations Grants

The Maitri Cultural Partnerships grants comprise 3 streams with a combined total of $1.5 million:

  • Major Collaboration Grants between $125,000 and $250,000
  • First Nations Collaboration Grants between $40,000 and $250,000
  • Partnerships Grants between $20,000 and $90,000

Applications close on Friday 8 March.

National Industry PhD Program

The NIPhDP supports PhD students undertaking industry-focused research projects that equip them with the knowledge and skills to translate research into commercial outcomes. The program consists of 2 streams: Industry Linked and Industry Researcher. Applications close on Friday 15 March.

CSIRO Industry PhD Program

The CSIROiPhDP is part of the Australian Government’s focus on growing university research commercialisation. PhD students undertake a research project developed in collaboration with and jointly supervised by an industry partner, university researcher and CSIRO researcher. EOIs close on Friday 19 April.

SPHERE Seed Funding Partnership Grant Scheme

A pool of $500,0000 is available to support up to 5 partnership grants of $100,000–$200,000 each. Submissions should focus on ideas that foster broad collaboration across platforms and clinical themes. Applications close on Friday 26 April.
