Visa changes impacting course completing students

A number of international students will be seeking early course completion this July due to the age limit for the Temporary Graduate visa being reduced to 35 years.

Course coordinators and heads of school are asked to support students who are course completing mid-year that are impacted by this change.

The Department of Home Affairs (DHA) has advised that the maximum age for international students seeking to move to a Temporary Graduate visa will be reduced to 35 years of age, from 1 July 2024. The impact of this will be that some students will be seeking early confirmation of course completion.

Student Administration has confirmed that heads of school can submit an 'Application of Early Release of Results by the Academic Registrar' form for students impacted mid-year by this change.

DHA will be hosting a webinar on 20 June for ACU international students who are expected to course complete, providing them with updates on post-study options.
