Student Administration update, Q1 2025

The Student Administration teams have been extremely active during the first quarter of the year:

  • Applications for credit in recognition of prior learning for over 9000 units.
  • More than 600 students have received scholarship offers.
  • 1200 course completions were processed.
  • Over 3500 enrolment amendment requests were processed.
  • Timetabling scheduled 5900 teaching and learning activities, with 141,000 student allocations, increasing efficiency of scheduling with an average class size of 24 students.

In addition to these ongoing activities that support ACU’s student life cycle, we have undertaken a range of targeted initiatives.

  • The Student Systems team supported several key initiatives that launched during Q1 2025, including the new CourseTrack system, Graduation Verification Service, Student Complaints Management workflow and many others.
  • In February, AskACU doubled the number of getting started/orientation sessions, with over 900 students attending. This corresponded with an almost 40 per cent reduction in AskACU enquiries in February.
  • The Enrolments team led a cross-university collaboration to deliver a Connect & Enrol trial day on campus in mid-January, providing personalised, in-person assistance to students who required extra help navigating their enrolment. The 22 students who attended received hands-on support and a guided tour of the Melbourne Campus, and their feedback was very positive.
  • The Student Policy, Appeals and Curriculum team have supported the university in its legislative compliance including activities for the AI Council and TEQSA reregistration process, optimised the student and curriculum policy framework through review and development of more than a dozen policy suites, and provided advice and support across Faculties and Directorates. Of particular note for the team is the introduction of the Student Complaints and Feedback system based in ServiceNow from Q1, 2025.
