Ellucian Banner Document Management (BDM) will soon be accessible to more areas across our university. The BDM ACU Rollout project, which has recently commenced, also aims to increase the adoption and effectiveness of the system amongst users.
Why this matters
BDM is the central repository for important student documents. Since its introduction in 2016, it has streamlined document access and improved efficiency for Student Administration. Expanding its use will enhance compliance, optimise processes, and improve document management across the university.
Project goals
- Standardise which student documents are stored in BDM across faculties and departments.
- Enhance BDM with new features for better functionality.
- Improve compliance with our Records Retention and Disposal Schedule.
- Strengthen user support for BDM.
This initiative will improve document security, ensure legislative compliance, and create a more efficient, connected way of working at ACU.
Faculty and school engagement
The project is supported by a working group and steering committee, with representation from teams managing student documents across ACU. Your faculty director, strategy and operations (or nominee) is part of the steering committee.
