Healthy Conversations at Work
11 October NationalThere are ways to adjust or reframe conversations to be more honest and helpful. This is fundamental to building and maintaining working relationships and fostering productivity.
To chair recruitment interviews at ACU you must equip yourself with the knowledge to ensure you’re following the right procedure and protocols throughout the recruitment process. The responsibilities of a chair is different to those on an interview panel member. If you’re looking to prepare yourself to recruit for continuing or fixed term staff, you must first complete the Role of Chair training.
In this 80-minute session, you will gain a high-level understanding of the end-to-end recruitment process and your responsibilities as a Chair. This training ensures our recruitment and selection processes are merit-based, equitable, transparent and timely – all of which contribute to a positive experience for our candidates.
Learning Outcomes:
Responsibilities of Chair and/or Hiring Manager
Understand the Selection and Merit Based Process
The best practice for maintaining privacy and confidentiality
Upholding candidate experience
Strategies for being the best chair
Please note that this is not the session for you if you are planning to hire casual and sessional staff, nor to learn how to navigate the Staff Connect Recruitment system.
